Ed Christenbury, CEO and founder of ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. started in 1983 as an industrial woodworking machinery dealer. ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. buys, sells, rebuilds and manufactures new and used woodworking machinery.
Ed received his degree in 1968 from North Carolina State University at Raleigh in Furniture Manufacturing and Management. His first position as Plant and Production Engineer was at Liberty Chair Manufacturing, which later became a division of Mohasco, in Liberty, North Carolina. Later he became Manager of Manufacturing for a total of 10 years with the company. With the experience that Ed gained from working in an industrial woodworking manufacturing setting, he decided to move his career into woodworking machinery sales for the next 5 years before starting ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. on April 1, 1983. Erik Christenbury, who now serves as president, received his education at Western Carolina University. Erik earned a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering with two minors, one in occupational safety and the other in Facilities Management. Erik has been involved with ChrisCo Machinery since day one.
Today, ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. is located in Liberty, North Carolina, in our 68,000 square foot facility.
